Program Overview
The WISJ Mentorship Program fosters meaningful connections between women in STEM across Japan. By pairing mentees with experienced mentors, this three-month program provides a space for growth, learning, and career development. Whether you’re navigating academic hurdles or advancing your career, our mentorship pairs offer personalized support to help you reach your goals.
Mentor-Mentee Model
Each mentee is paired with a mentor to focus on one achievable goal. Over the course of three meetings, mentors will provide tailored guidance to help mentees:

Our members are experts in a breadth of science disciplines, including the life sciences, engineering, physical sciences, mathematics, and others.
Mentorship Program - Winter Session

Meeting Frequency: One-on-one meetings, once a month
Minimum Duration of Each Meeting: 1 hour

Membership: Must be a member of WISJ
Age: Must be at least 18 years old by the start of the program (Kick-Off Event in December)
Gender: Open to women and gender minorities
Role: Participants can apply as either a mentee or a mentor, but cannot hold multiple roles (mentee, mentor, planning team) in the same session.
